The internet used to make the world feel bigger. Now it makes the world smaller. & Slop doesn’t slop itself.
Capacities completely revamps its search experience, web, social networks, social web, Codeless: from idea to software, and more in this week's issue of Creativerly.
My name is Philipp and you are reading Creativerly, the internet corner where I unpack my musings, curate and write about noteworthy apps and software, and explore the latest trends in design and tech.
Hey and welcome to Creativerly 361 👋
First of all, I am sorry for the delay of this newsletter. I suddenly had to deal with a DNS issue yesterday which got resolved quite fast, but I was a bit hesitant to actually send out the new newsletter right away. Additionally, I had a packed weekend, spending most of my Saturday on the train from Berlin back to my hometown Graz, so Sunday was all about relaxing and recharging my batteries. Which is also the reason why I kept this newsletter a bit shorter than usual.
Nevertheless, once I got back up to speed during this week, sorted some things out, and checked off a bunch of stuff from my todo list, I am ready to get back into writing, since my writing backlog for Creativerly is growing fast, as I keep adding more and more ideas to it.
Anyway, I hope you have a great week ahead!

Mental Wealth
❯ Web, Social Networks, Social Web – “The other day, a podcast episode caught my attention. It was titled “Can We Build a Better Social Network”, and it was a collaboration between Hard Fork and Search Engine. I thought it was just a discussion about the state of social networks, but then I read the description of the episode...”
❯ The internet used to make the world feel bigger. Now it makes the world smaller. – “Last month I installed Opal on my computer and phone. This is a service that blocks social media and other distractions in an automated way. It's been a huge change. I'm no longer constantly stuck in feeds. A major life upgrade. Still, there are moments you get bored. Where do you go to look?”
❯ Slop doesn’t slop itself. – “Proof that slop doesn’t just come from the robots is this article from CNN: Tired of AI, people are committing to the analog lifestyle in 2026. Before you get your hackles up, I’m not about to defend technology but rather call out real human stupidity.”
❯ Codeless: From idea to software – “There’s finally been a big leap forward in coding tech unlocked by AI — not just “it’s doing some work for me”, but “we couldn’t do this before”. What’s new are a few smart systems that let coders control fleets of dozens of coding bots, all working in tandem, to swarm over a list of tasks and to deliver entire features, or even entire sets of features, just from a plain-English description of the strategic goal to be accomplished.”
